Balance Catching

Athlete is to stand on a Balance Ball, Balance Board or Mini=Tramp - 1 to 2 metres from a wall or rebounder.

Within a 1-minute window, the athlete attempts to catch balls self-rebounded coring a point for each successful catch.

Why Balance Catching? The Balance Ball / Mini Tramp or Balance Board is the external constraint mechanism. Athletes can explore implicit engagement of the kinetic chain - with an emphasis on the core, through the knees and ankles.

Perception-action is heightened through different variations of ball, flight (feed or rebound) and challenge (one handed).
