Spearheading the design and roll-out of Just A Game, including being the active lead for its consultancy services, Simon beings a wide range of skills, experience and expertise within Sports, Physical Activity and Play.

Nationally

Previously the contracted New Zealand Cricket Strengthen and Adapt Lead, Junior & Youth - Simon was the creative force behind the new Smash Play national development plan.

This involved significant research, use of insights and understanding of modern approaches to play, skill and personal development.

Smash Play involved systemic alignment to the overall New Zealand Cricket strategy, vision and purpose.and was built upon the identification of outcomes, and implementation of a market-leading sport & play philosophy.

Regionally

Simon was part of a two-pronged expert partnership involved with designing a regional project - Kia Hākinakina - designed to enhance fundamental and functional movement for tamariki in Primary School settings (involving a Teacher support model. Kia Hākinakina is far broader, incorporating numerous models of social development. Simon was intrinsic in Vision creation, Strategic Plan development all the way through to delivery and resource design.
